At 1434 hours, the Technical Rescue Team was dispatched for a crane that fell over on its side trapping one in the crane, and stranding one in a tree. A tree removal company was taking the top off a tree. When the crane took the top of the tree, the operator began feeling the crane move. He tried to bring the boom back in but was unable to. The crane operators seat was smashed against an embankment temporarily pinning the operator. He was able to extricate himself, suffering only minor scratches and back pain, prior to Engine 108's arrival. The worker in the tree was uninjured, and climbed back down the tree.

The boom of the crane managed to fall without hitting the house, trees, vehicles, and all but one utility wire around it. Engine 108 secured the scene while the crane operator was assessed by Medic 102. All other units were placed in service.
